Chance Continues His Adventures in England

Chance continues to serve in England. He continues to have many incredible experiences
and loves the people he is meeting and teaching.
He and his companion have been holding an English class for Chinese people
who want to learn or better their English.
He has really enjoyed it and has met some incredible people.
Chance has also had opportunities to indulge in some of his favorite past times.
Playing in a soccer simulation on his P-day
(Preparation day, which happens once a week and is the day missionaries
do their laundry, go grocery shopping, clean their flat, have opportunities to
play sports with other missionaries and sometimes sight see
in the area where they live.)
He was also able to hold Bobby again, Chance loves every opportunity to
bond with animals and he seems to have developed a
particular liking for Bobby.
Chance has also discovered there in England that he loves Thai food.
A member took Chance and his companion out to eat at a Thai restuarant
and now our boy has a new love.
The mango ice cream for dessert was also a favorite.
He also saw an amazing sunset and Chance loves his sunsets.

A beautiful sunset that Chance saw from the train.
Here is a bit of what Chance had to say in his email home:

This past week has been really good! We've been able to see a lot of good work come from our efforts!
We've been contacting and talking with a ton of Asian people (Mostly Chinese, and some people from Vietnam, Thailand, and Nepal).
We had a really successful Chinese Class this past week. We had 15 different people come and we had so much fun with them all! We taught them about some English slang words and idioms. It was so fun! We are now teaching a girl that we met at English Class and she also came to church with us yesterday!
The Chinese language, culture, and people are incredible! It has been so great and fun talking to and getting to know Chinese People! They are such fun and are amazing people!
We've been having a lot more lessons with Chinese people and it has been truly amazing! We have been speaking and listening to more Chinese and it has been developing my Chinese skills a ton!

This past week I've been read 1 Nephi 16-18 and it has been amazing. I have grown to love Nephi so much! There are a couple of verses that I absolutely love. The first is in 1 Nephi 17 verse 8-9.
"And it came pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Thou shalt construct a ship, after the manner which I shall show thee, that I may carry thy people across these waters.
And I said: Lord, whither shall I go that I may find ore to molten, that I may make tools to construct the ship after the manner which thou hast shown unto me?"
And the second verse is 1 Nephi 16:23
"And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did make out of wood a bow, and out of a straight stick, an arrow; wherefore, I did arm myself with a bow and an arrow, with a sling and with stones. And I said unto my father: Whither shall I go to obtain food?"
I absolutely love these two passages of scripture because it is a great example to me of how I should act. When Nephi was told that he needed to build a ship, he didn't murmur, but rather, asked God what he should do and how he should do it. He literally lives the words from 1 Nephi 3:7
"I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded."
Then he did the same thing when his bow broke. He didn't complain, he just went and made another one.
So my invitation to you is to not wonder why the bad things are happening to you, but rather focus on what these things are teaching and what lessons you can learn. Don't be bitter, be better!
I love you all so much! Keep me updated on y'alls lives!
